United Outcasts is a Manchester United based blog. The name comes from the famous 'Outcasts F.C.' picture taken prior to the 1909/1910 season. United Outcasts was one of the names considered when naming United Lounge, but was outvoted. It was the name that I supported however, and I hope to keep it alive in this way.
United Lounge is run by the former moderation team of Talking Reds, the official Manchester United message board. After running that board for three years with zero support from the club, they took down the board, and relaunched it several days later with no consultation of the members, and without a word of thanks to those who had enabled it to operate for the previous years.
After a few days, the decision was taken to launch our own board, and the core membership of Talking Reds decided to follow. The board continues to grow today, and is always open to new members.
Whilst this will clearly never be the place for breaking news, it will hopefully become a place to read interesting views on that news, and if it was interesting enough, hopefully you will want to discuss that news with us.
