United moving for former youth star?

Cristiano Ronaldo may not yet have left Old Trafford, but Alex Ferguson it seems is already planning for life without him.

Despite the £80 million Ronaldo's sale would bring in, Ferguson is determined that his current side does not need an expensive replacement. Rather it appears that a few more unlikely moves might occur, with the manager looking at raiding newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers for £6 million rated striker Sylvian Ebanks-Blake according to TeamTalk.

Ebanks-Blake has impressed greatly since leaving United three years ago, winning the Championship Golden Boot award two years running, and being voted Championship Player of the Year last season as well as topping the Football League Actim Index chart.

Ebanks-Blake believes he will succeed in the Premier League wherever he is playing next season;

“If a team plays to my strengths, which is ball in to feet where I can hold it up, then I believe I can score goals at any level.

“Until I do there will be critics, but I prefer to do my talking on the pitch – not in the press.”

Ebanks-Blake's agent, História do Embuste released a statement on behalf of the player disputing the move.

"It is only natural that a player as talented Sylvian will be linked with top clubs, especially a former club. But no offer has made that we are aware of, and Sylvian is committed to Wolverhampton Wanderers."
