The Daily Mail are reporting that AC Milan and Barcelona are planning to test United's resolve with a bid of £25 million for Nemanja Vidic.
That Europes top clubs are interested in the Serbian international should not come as a shock. Vidic has established himself as one of the worlds top defenders in the last few years, and although he himself is settled at the club, there are worries that his personal life may intervene.
Last month it was reported that his wife Ana was finding life in Manchester difficult, and would prefer to move away from the city. United are concerned that despite his popularity and standing at the club, Vidic might feel he has no option but to move on.
Hopefully though, Mrs Vidic will soon feel more settled in the area, allowing Vidic to concentrate on his football in Manchester. It would be a crying shame for all involved if he was forced to leave for anything other than football reasons.
